Isa 28:11-12 is an OT reference to speaking in tongues
“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This [is] the rest [wherewith] ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear.” Isa 28:11-12
We can prove this because the Apostle Paul quotes Isa 28:11-12 in 1 Cor 14:21 “In the law, it is written, With [men of] other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.”
Rom 8:26: “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Our body is the temple of God comprising an outer court, inner court, and holy of holies. Even Abraham’s tent had 3 partitions. Abraham met the 3 visitors including the pre-incarnate form of Christ in the outer court.
OIKODOME
1 Cor 14:4: “He that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”
What we need for edification is the body, mind, and soul. The Spirit is already the New Creation. Therefore, 1 Cor 14:4 is really saying that praying in the Spirit edifies the WHOLE self.
This is confirmed in Jude 1:20: “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,”
EDIFY

Bridling the tongue and you bridle the whole body
JAMES 3:2-12
James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offends not in word, the same [is] a perfect man, [and] able also to bridle the whole body.
James 3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
James 3:4 Behold also the ships, which though [they be] so great, and [are] driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
James 3:5, Even so, the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
James 3:6 And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
James 3:7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; [it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
James 3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
James 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
James 3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet [water] and bitter?
James 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, or figs? so [can] no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Reading James 3:2-12, we realize that the whole body can be bridled by controlling the tongue. Neurologists confirm that the speech center controls the whole body.
The expression “perfect man” in James 3:2 simply refers to a mature man.
The expression “fierce winds” in James 3:4 refers to false teachings. Essentially James 3:4 means that if one does not lend yourself to false teachings, one will not be shaken.
The expression “iniquity” in James 3:6 refers to unrighteousness.
The expression “defiled” in James 3:6 can also mean sickness.
The expression “set on fire” by hell is an allusion to the fiery darts of the devil (see Ephesians). The fiery darts are people talking and not the devil directly.
Tongue set on fire by hell, according to James 3:9, is a mixture, the tongue used to praise God, and then outside of the church, one speaks ill, negatively, or with evil intentions towards one’s fellow human beings, or complaints in bitterness – see an allusion to this in Exodus 15:23-26 – which brings illness.
The spring is a picture of the holy spirit working within the human spirit providing refreshment with living waters of everlasting life. Spring becomes bitter due to complaining and bitterness.
Exo 15:25 “And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, [which] when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,”
The statute is: People, no more complaining!
Exo 15:25:” And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee.”
If you feel the urge to curse, pray in tongues until victory comes! The more you pray in tongues, the less you speak negatively, and the more healing you have.
Egypt = Double Straits (straits = distress)
Egypt = Double Stress
Diseases of Egypt = Diseases arising from stress
The truth is parallel. Therefore, James 3:6 can be read as:
The tongue is a holy fire, a world of righteousness [as righteousness speaks] … that purifies, rejuvenates, heals, the whole body and sets on holy fire the course of nature, and by heaven.
Psalm 103:5
” Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagles. : Psalm 103:5
Psalm 103:1-5 contains the 5 blessedness.
The word for mouth in Hebrew is peh. But the Hebrew word translated as MOUTH in Psalm 1:5 is adiy.

Psalm 32:9: “Be ye not as the horse, [or] as the mule, [which] have no understanding: whose mouth [ADIY] must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.”
The use of ADIY in Psalm 103:5 and Psalm 32:9 reminds one of James 3:2-3.
HOWEVER, the Hebrew word for the tongue is LASHOWN (Stongs’ #3956)
So God wants us to know that once Holy Spirit comes in, our tongues become ornamented!
The word “thing” in Psalm 103:5 is not present in the original Hebrew bible. It is simply “… satisfieth thy mouth with THE good..” Hebrew definitive participle is used.
The word “youth” in Psalm 103:5 is naur (Strongs’ #5271)

The word “renewed” in Psalm 103:5 is khadesh (Strongs’ #2318)
1. to be new, renew, repair
2. to make anew
3. to renew oneself
Messianic Jews call the N.T. the Brit Hadassa.
2 Chronicles 24:
“And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair [KHADESH] the house of the LORD, and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the LORD.”
THEREFORE, from the above, we learn that:
OUR teen years are renewed by our ornamented speaking in tongues!
Because our speaking in tongues controls our entire body (the temple in which God’s Holy Spirit indwells) like the bits of horses.
Psalm 127: 1: “Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh [but] in vain.”
The word “build” in Psalm 127:1 is banah (Strongs #1129)

Banah in Hebrew has the connotation of the Greek Oikodome
Indeed the Septuagint translation of Psalm 127:1 uses Oikodome when translating Banah.
Praying in Spirit, Banah / Oikodome – builds up – your temple of the Holy Spirit – our Bodies!
